watercress Farm

Home of our award-winning nature connection programme and corporate community events. Watercress Farm delivers outstanding nature-based approaches through our rewilding and rewetting of the landscape.

our rewilding and rewetting project

Belmont purchased Watercress Farm in 2019 to enable nature to flourish. Formally an intensively farmed landscape, it provided the opportunity to relinquish human intervention in the landscape. Fields, woodland and hedgerows were set free to grow wild. The course of the Land Yeo River, which originally crossed the site as a straightened channel, was reimagined to create new meanders, ponds and scrapes within a dynamic new wetland landscape.

At Belmont we believe that everyone should have access to nature and at Watercress we offer free immersive experiences to inspire and connect people of all ages and from all backgrounds with the natural world. The powerful combination of rewilded landscapes and nature experiences combine to make Watercress Farm a very special place.
