To inspire people to become more connected to the natural world by providing opportunities to access nature and educational experiences.

WHAT WE OFFER

Set within our rewilding project at Watercress Farm, and with a focus on connection and wellbeing, our free nature-based education programme offers children and young people a unique insight into the natural world.

Our programme is a living classroom for pre-schoolers, university students and everyone in between to learn about nature, within nature and for the benefit of nature. Supported by our partners it is free of charge, providing truly accessible educational experiences for those without the opportunity to get there alone.

Families

We offer monthly nature exploration sessions for parents / carers and children, aged up to 4 years in the woods and meadows of our rewilding project.

During the school holidays we host BE Wild Family days where children can spend time playing and exploring together. Or, for the more independent young adventurers, our BE Wild Kids club is for unaccompanied children aged 8+.

Schools – Be Wild

Our BE Wild school and education visits are the perfect opportunity for school classes of up to 30 to connect with nature. By visiting three times over the school year, children can gain an understanding and appreciation of a range of natural processes and build a strong sense of belonging.

Our experienced team encourage imaginations to run wild through a Wild Walking Safari, meeting the free-range animals, and a mixture of prepared activities and facilitated free play to ‘just BE’.

Schools – BE Inspired

Our BE Inspired programme is an immersive experience where schools or smaller specialist groups including 1:1 sessions where required, join us once a term for a full school year. The programme is an opportunity for schools to identify children who will particularly benefit from the experience.

This programme is designed to enhance your student’s connection to themselves and nature: building confidence, self-esteem and a sense of wellbeing. Students will take part in holistic activities that include time to ‘just be’ in nature, bushcraft, arts and crafts, and land management, helping to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the natural world.

Other Organisations

BE Closer sessions are designed for organisations that support young people, children and adults who would benefit from our nature programme. This can include charities, social services, and green social prescribing groups, to name a few.

We work with your organisation to tailor a bespoke programme to your needs delivering the greatest benefit for the participants.
